Please explain in 250 words or less why you believe that you
should be awarded this scholarship.
I deserve this scholarship because
of the amount of things I can do with money. I have excelled at everything I
have done in the past and I plan to become very successful. I have been an
excellent student as long as I can remember and it all started in elementary
school. In elementary school the grading system was numbers and it was from one
to five and one was the lowest and five was the highest. The six years I spent
there I got only fives on everything.
My success continued throughout high school and middle school. All
throughout middle I never received a letter grade below a B and I even received
an award for having honor rolls all three year. Things changed a little in high
school because I received my first C and also my first D, but I worked hard and
was able to raise my grade so that on my transcript I would not have any bad
grades and I did not get any. The success I had in school translated to all the
sports I played throughout my life.
In
my life I have played five different sports and I have done well in all of
them. Baseball was the first sport I played and from what I can remember every
game I pitch I did not let up more then one run and I got on base at least once
every game. In football I played on both sides of the ball in every game I had
a touchdown and at least five tackles. In soccer I scored every other game and
my first year of wrestling I went seven and two. In basketball a played AAU on the
Jaguars and we won nationals my first year on the team. I played in another
league and I average a Double-double and we won the championship. In high
school I did not score that much, but I was a great defender so I probably
average four points a game and the player I was defending never scored more
than me. I did well in sports because I treated it like another class and I
just tried to work as hard as I can.
I know I can succeed if just put my
mind to it. I have big goals for the future and I am hoping to impact many
lives. Due to my huge goals I might need some more than four years of college.
I want to be a doctor and I know I can do it with a little more support. I feel
that if I am awarded this scholarship it will help me accomplish my dream and since
I have always be successful I know I deserve the scholarship. The money will
definitely be well spent if I am awarded this scholarship.
